At 10am this morning, the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Faculty Association joined the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Association, the University of Regina Faculty Association, and the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation in hosting a joint news conference on the state of funding for education in Saskatchewan. Please refer to the attached Media Release that went out to news agencies around our province this morning.

The SPFA Executive Council fully supports the job action of the STF as they strive to achieve a fair collective bargaining agreement. At this time, and as stated by President Grosskleg in the news conference, SPFA is currently in ongoing negotiations with our employer and NO job action is planned at this time for our bargaining unit. SPFA remains optimistic that our bargaining committee can negotiate a new collective agreement on behalf of our membership.
