Hello Faculty,

Please refer to the attached letter and related document to Minister Beaudry-Mellor. You will see that Sask Polytech is unusual in the post-secondary community in that we have no faculty representation on the board of directors.

The Faculty Association has an obligation shared by all faculty – to ensure that informed decisions are made, decisions that maintain our Institute as a vibrant student-focused organization. Faculty are well equipped to provide guidance in decision making at every level of the organization. This is one meaningful way in which employee engagement can be achieved.

With a provincial election on the horizon you will likely encounter local candidates. With the attached information in hand it might be helpful to question candidates on their position regarding this important issue.
