Hi SPFA members,
This is to advise that the SPFA 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 2023, between 12 noon and 1:30 pm and will occur virtually through Zoom.
The following timeline will guide the preparations for the AGM:
- Sept. 28, 2023 – Notification of AGM (Article VII, Section 1).
- Sept. 26, 2023 – Open Nominations – Secretary Treasurer, VP Prince Albert, VP Regina – current terms end this year (Article V, Section 3). The VP Saskatoon and VP Moose Jaw will also be up for election as they are filled with interim appointments. The normal rotation for the VP Saskatoon and VP Moose Jaw occurs in even number years, so these terms are for one year.
- Sept 28, 2023 – Constitutional Amendments received (Article X, Section 2). Note: the online forms list Sept 21/23 as the deadline. They can be used until 4:00 pm Sept. 28/23 as per the Constitution.
- Oct. 10, 2023 – Nominations Close (Article V, Section 5)
- Oct. 11 – Nov. 2, 2023 – Candidate Campaigning
- Oct. 13, 2023 – Nominations and Statements Circulated (Article V, Section 5)
- Oct. 26, 2023 – Constitutional Amendments circulated (Article X, Section 2), Resolutions received (Article VII, Section 4)
- Oct. 27, 2023 – E-Ballots sent to members (5 days prior to election)
- Nov. 9, 2023 – AGM

The following five Executive Council positions will be up for election at the November 9, 2023, virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the SPFA:
- Secretary Treasurer (2-year term)
- VP – Regina (2-year term)
- VP – Prince Albert (2-year term)
- VP – Saskatoon (1-year term to fill a vacant seat)
- VP – Moose Jaw (1-year term to fill a vacant seat)
To comply with the SPFA constitution, Article V, Section 5, nominations for the above five positions must be received by 4:00 pm, October 10, 2023, 30 days prior to the AGM. Please see the following links for Nomination details:
