SUMMARY:Annual General Meeting (AGM)
DESCRIPTION:The AGM will take place via Zoom. The purpose of this meeting is to approve the audited financial statements and budget and to review and discuss constitutional resolution submissions. \nAs per a motion passed at the November 4\, 2021\, AGM voting on constitutional items will be done via electronic balloting. The SPFA constitution outlines the positions elected in odd and even years. Positions are for a two-year term: \n\n\n\nThe president shall be elected in even numbered years. The secretary-treasurer in odd numbered years\nSaskatoon and Moose Jaw VPs shall be elected in even numbered years. Regina and Prince Albert VPs shall be elected in odd numbered years. \n\n\n\nConstitution Article V3 f states “if any position on the executive council shall become vacant\, the Executive Council shall seek a recommendation from the School and Program Representatives before appointing a Member to replace the vacancy until the next Annual General Meeting.”  \nThe secretary-treasurer and the VP Regina positions were filled by appointment following the November 2021 AGM and are therefore up for election in November 2022. The terms for these positions will be one year\, rather than two years.  \nExecutive Council positions open for nominations in 2022 are: \n–    President (two- year term) \n\nSecretary-Treasurer (one-year term)\nVice President Saskatoon (two-year term)\nVice President Moose Jaw (two-year term)\nVice President Regina (one-year term)\n\nNominations open September 19\, 2022\, and close October 3rd at 4:00pm. Constitution amendments deadline is September 22nd.  \nAs in passed years\, positions with more than one nomination will be provided space in campaign newsletters and candidate forums according to the position.
